Course Objectives
This course is an introduction to understanding all aspects of diagnosing and treating TMJ Disorders by incorporating Dynamic 4D live occlusion and jaw movement recordings, with Modjaw technology. Learn how to diagnose the different conditions on the CBCT that affect the TMJ and how to treat them clinically with new protocols developed with the incorporation of this new technology. From MRI images for disk disorders to the CBCT images of the osseous tissues of the joint, different paths of treatment will be addressed. We will teach you how to recognize the different conditions and how to 3D print the appliance that will diagnose, classify TMD disorders and ultimately help the patient. Capturing clinical data and incorporating face scans, digital impressions, and CBCT dicom data in Modjaw will be covered. Printing directly from converted to STL files from segmented DICOM files for chairside manufacturing manufacture or sending the orthotic appliances to the appropriate laboratory, supported by Modjaw and designed by Exocad will also be covered.

“In spite of the fact that I have been using 3D imaging in my practice for years, I felt a refresher course could help me improve my skills. Therefore, I decided to attend the Maxillo-facial Mini-Residency at UCSD in San Diego with Dr. Archambault. What an amazing learning experience! Dr. Archambault is extremely knowledgeable and has a particular talent to pass on this knowledge casually and simply.” —Dr. Simon Roy

“Wow, depuis que je suis revenu de San Diego, on doit avoir pris une vingtaine de CBCT petit champ pour éclairer notre diagnostic ou pour nous assurer que tout était ok avant un endo ou une couronne. On a intercepté tellement de futur problème et vu tellement de chose c’est incroyable. Il n’y a pas d’autre mot que Merci Dr. Katia Archambault, ma pratique à atteint un autre niveau depuis ton cour. The Power of diagnostic” —Dr. Marjolaine Delongchamps

“After an amazing trip to San Diego for the mini-residency in maxillofacial radiology with Dr. Archambault, from which I came back with a mind full of knowledge ready to use the next day, I felt that my staff was missing the ability to follow my train of thoughts in diagnostics and that they could use some of that acquired knowledge in 3D radiology, to better serve our patients. So, when the opportunity came for us to see her closer to home, I certainly took it! And did we ever have a good time!” —Dr. Simon Roy

“Wow! Since my return from the Mini-Residency at UCSD, we took at least 20 CBCTs. Not only are we diagnosing our patients more efficiently but we feel much more confident in the whole process. We found a lot of incidental findings. We found early asymptomatic apical lucencies. There is no other word than Thank you, Dr. Katia Archambault, my dental practice has been raised to a whole new level since your CBCT class! The Power of Diagnostic.” —Dr. Marjolaine Delongchamps

“The course was very thorough and extensive, but most importantly it was a blast, which is a lot to say for a subject that can be a bit drab. Moreover, we were welcomed as if we were family. I highly recommend this program: I returned from it with a mind full of usable knowledge the next day. I now see the potential of this amazing asset that is 3D imaging and know better how to make my patients benefit from it. A thousand thanks, Dr. Katya!” —Dr. Quyn Ann Pham

“Malgré le fait que j’utilise les technologies d’imagerie 3D dans ma pratique depuis des années, j’ai décidé de faire la mini-résidence en radiologie maxillo-faciale à San Diego avec Dre Archambault. Il s’agit très certainement d’un des meilleurs cours que j’aie suivis dans ma carrière et ça valait amplement le détour. Merci pout tout, Katya!” —Dr. Simon Roy

“I attended the 3 day mini-residency with Dr Katya Archambault on February 17-18, 2023. I had no CBCT experience at all before attending her lecture. I truly can say that I am able to read the scan with confidence now. Dr. Katya is an Encyclopedia of knowledge. She has great knowledge in radiology, oral surgery and reconstructive dentistry. There is nothing that she can’t help you with. With all her fame and expertise, Dr Katya is so humble and very approachable. She truly wants to teach us and we all felt like she is our friend. I can’t wait to attend more of her lectures. Thank you so much Dr Katya.” —Dr. Rima Shahhal DDS

“I had the chance to complete the three days mini Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology with Dr Katya at UCSD. This course is indeed an eye opener and has helped me to better diagnose my patients at our community health center, and to know when to refer to specialists. The way I see now radiographs is different and using CBCT has enhanced both of my diagnostic and clinical skills. I cannot longer do Endodontics, TMJ assessments, and Third Molars Surgeries without CBCT reading. Thanks you Dr. Katya, thanks to you I love more Radiology.” —Dr. Yessenia Valverde Ingersoll DMD Ph.D.
